Who is Shire Choir?
MELIA NAUGHTON
Melia is a choir leader, actor and musician. She studied Acting at the VCA Melbourne; she is a classically trained pianist and a Natural Voice Leader. Melia has toured with Bell Shakespeare Company and has fronted bands including folk-pop outfit Scarlett Affection and the new rock band for kids The Gumboots. She is a co-writer and performer of the award winning musical New Blood.
SALLY SCHOFIELD
A former music journalist, Sally has 20 years’ experience in digital communications, marketing and events. She loves joining the dots to create events themed around storytelling and song. In a past life was a DJ in some of Sydney and Melbourne’s biggest clubs.
JAMIE BIRRELL
Jamie has been in bands since he was 13 years old, and spent most of his twenties touring the UK. In the Northern Rivers since 2000, he has played extensively up and down the East coast. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Jamie plays the double bass, guitar, sitar and harmonica. But not all at once.
